3.3 The Prints

There should be a barrier implemented in the process of purchasing a plant.

A speculative plant nursery, The Fun Plant Shop will introduce a Plant Care Agreement Form into every purchase order.

The form entails essential steps to care for a plant that the customer needs to comply with before purchasing a plant. Since each plant will have different needs to take care of, the list is intentionally vague so that the nursery staff can elaborate on each point to ensure that the customer understands and can provide that for the plant.

After checking every list, both the staff and the customer will sign off the form. A Certificate of Ownership will then be handed to the customer by the nursery staff to officiate the adoption

Choosing plants, specifically herbs that can easily be grown in Singapore’s environment. The choice of herbs can give additional benefits as they can be used to cook or to garnish their meal, this can help sell the kit better to a more “pragmatic” and “efficient” culture of the Singapore working millennial. Thus, they are chosen to be the variations for the different Grow Kits.

The book that will come with the kit will look something like a produced book, on how to care for the plant properly. This is inspired by the famous gag gift of the PET ROCK.

Although the essentials of caring for a plant might be dry and boring, presenting them in a way that the target audience can understand will be important.

To personify the objectified plants, I chose to use the 5 love languages so that people can see plants closer to people than to objects.

Shooting the content for the publication.

Adding heart-shaped elements subtly to emphasise on the love.
